An Overview For The Semester

We have come to the end of another term. In this blog post, I will share with you my experiences in the ICT course for a semester. Before taking this course, I knew that technology was an integral part of our lives and I argued that education should benefit from this. My views have strengthened throughout the time I have taken this course. Technology is now a must in the classroom environment. But we learned many tools that students can use not only in the classroom but also outside the classroom. ImmersMe, MagicSchool etc. I learned that we can further strengthen the education we provide with these. I think that we can see an undeniable help from technology in the elt department and that it is up to us to use it to our advantage. Personally, I liked the storytelling activity the most. What was most meaningful to me was that my friends' and my ideas created such a beautiful activity in the homework we did with the group of three. We created the characters ourselves and wrote the dialogues ourselves. It was entirely within our imagination. I really liked the interface of the pixton application. I will definitely make sure that my students will do this task too. I think I liked our last assignment at least. It may be because we are in the final week. This assignment was multi-step and required a lot of effort. But it was a very nice experience for me to talk to a character that I love very much in MagicSchool. So is meeting with an application like magic-school.Overall, I am quite pleased with taking this course. Definitely a course every elite student should take. Maybe it would have been better if the tasks we did instead of exams during the midterm period were sufficient.
