From Brainstorm to Worksheet: Our Lesson Plan Journey

 Hi guys I am Dilan,

This week, my friends and I worked on something super exciting for our teaching practice! We created a lesson plan about the verbs “get” and “have,” two words that students often mix up. To make it fun and organized, we used Coca to plan the lesson and Canva to design a cool worksheet.

First, we brainstormed how to explain the difference between “get” and “have” in a way that makes sense for prep school students. We thought about examples from real life, like “get a haircut” or “have breakfast.” Using Cocaba was super helpful because it gave us a clear structure for the lesson, from setting objectives to planning activities.

Then came the fun part—designing the worksheet! The four of us worked together on Canva, adding colorful visuals and easy-to-understand exercises. We included matching activities, fill-in-the-blanks, and even a short writing task where students describe their daily routines using both verbs. It was so satisfying to see our ideas come to life on the page!

This whole process taught us how important teamwork and creativity are in teaching. Plus, we learned how tools like Coca and Canva can make lesson planning much easier (and more fun).

Have you ever used tools like Cocaba or Canva in your classes? Let me know!

Here is the our worksheet!
